Not doing a very good job of coming up with a whopper of a first-ever blog post. In all honesty, I don't even know if this will be seen. I mean, let's be real here. My children could do a better job figuring out how to "open" a blog. I am convinced I missed the mark completely when it comes to technology and deciphering it. My parents get it and my children get it, so either I'm too young or too old, which makes no sense whatsoever.
So, what do you write about when you don't know what to write about? Write what you know. And since I haven't quite figured out how to make the so-called text box work in great detail in the About section, I might as well write out that section in this first-ever blog post.
Okay, here we go.
~My name is Kathy M. Howard, originally from Spartanburg, SC and now living in south Georgia with my Georgia-grown husband and our two Georgia-grown kiddos.
~I'm a runner wannabe, meaning I really do want to be out there, running and breathing in God's beautiful creation. If it wasn't for a bum knee, I'd happily call myself a runner, minus the wannabe. But instead, I'll settle for an occasional slow jog and an ice pack. I'm just grateful for the ability to walk.
~Food is one of my biggest stressors. For some reason, God gave me the gift of crazy taste buds. My brother tells me they are my super hero power. I am super picky and would be content eating about five foods over and over. The family on the other hand, would not. Coming up with different foods is a challenge and one that usually ends at a drive thru instead of the Howard kitchen. (Not to mention, my cooking abilities rank right up there with my technological ones.)
~While we're on the subject of food … it would suit me just fine for four of the five above-mentioned foods to have a cocoa origin.
~Writing - now there's something I've always enjoyed, even if no one reads a thing. Pen to paper or finger to keyboard is my therapy, my escape for a time. By God's goodness, I have two novels published at the moment. From Dishes to Snow and From Driftwood to Sapphire are out there for anyone to read. It was a blast writing these stories of tragedy and faith and hope but to be honest, being wide open to others' opinions is a bit scary. So cool, but scary. Anyway, this blog I'm attempting to start is a next step in this amazing journey of written words.
~And finally, let me sum up some other about stuff. (Yes, I did just write the word, stuff.)
For sures: Jesus Christ, family, friends, church, movies, soccer, jeans, basketball, mountains, hiking, rain, laughter, sleep, chocolate chips over popcorn, reading, sceneries, tennis shoes, and make-up free days
Not the biggest fan: ocean, wooden spoons, high heels, dressing up, vegetables, and basically anything domestic
So, there you have it. That's pretty much me in a nutshell. My first-ever blog post. Thanks for stopping by. :)
